Liz Jeneault, back with another 2-minute review and this week, we’re taking a look at the 2022 Genesis GV80. And I want to make sure I think Maguire Genesis of Ithaca for having me by!
The exterior is gorgeous, you have the quad LED headlights, flashy crest grille, and sporty wheels up to 22” in size. There’s an available panoramic sunroof and you have plenty of cargo space.
The interior of this GV80 SUV is beautiful. Every model features this large 14.5” HD wide-view angle touchscreen with the premium navigation system. You can also have a 12” heads-up display, and a 12.3” fully digital instrument cluster. The materials in here are beautiful, as is the ambient lighting. This model features quilted Nappa leather, gorgeous wood trim, and the large panoramic sunroof. This is a spacious SUV and that’s why with the V6 powertrain, you can have a third row added to fit seven. There’s also a new captain’s chairs option for 2022 for the second row.
You have two powerful powertrains to choose from. Your standard turbocharged engine makes 300 horsepower, or you can get the twin-turbocharged V6 which makes 375-hp and 391 lb.-ft. of torque. All-wheel drive comes standard with the V6, and is available otherwise. Both engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

I love the interior of this SUV, it feels so luxurious and has all the tech features I want. I’ll rate it a 9.5. Two powerful powertrains land the GV80 a 9 for performance. This is a powerful and sizable SUV and so fuel economy figures aren’t spectacular, 7.5. And I’ll rate the overall value a 9. And that results in an SUVs.com deal score of 89/100.
