Hi there! Liz Jeneault of SUVs.com here back with another 2-minute review and this week, we’re taking a look at the brand new ID.4. And I want to make sure I thank Cherry Hill Volkswagen.
This is the rear-wheel drive 1st Edition model and so it offers 201 horsepower and it has a recently confirmed EPA-estimated range of 260 miles. But there are more powerful dual-motor all-wheel drive models arriving later this year.
The ID.4’s exterior has a bold look with the Volkswagen logo prominently featured. You also have large LED headlights, and more LED lights at the back. Clean aerodynamic lines give it a striking silhouette, and the Gradient package makes it look even bolder.
The optional panoramic fixed glass roof makes the interior feel even more spacious. As you can see, there’s lots of legroom in the back and all the technology makes the ID.4 feel futuristic. You have the 5.3” digital display behind the steering wheel, a 10” or 12” touchscreen, standard navigation and ambient lighting, and there’s even a light bar called ID. Light that communicates with you. It’s located at the bottom of the windshield and it communicates messages to the driver through various colors.
You have solid cargo space in the back, and you can charge this all-electric vehicle at home or at DC fast chargers.
Recap and rating time now of the Volkswagen ID.4! I like the exterior and so I’ll rate that an 8.5. Interior is spacious, laden with tech, and comfortable with a standard heated steering wheel and heated front seats, 9. I’ll rate performance for this model an 8. No gas needed and you have 260 miles of range, so a 9 where we’d normally rate fuel economy. And overall value I’ll rate an 8.5, and especially because it doesn’t cost the world to get an ID.4.
And that results in an SUVs.com deal score of 86/100.
And I’d like to know what you all think about this new all-electric vehicle from Volkswagen, so please be sure to leave a comment below!
