2021 Nissan Rogue - 2 Minute Review

Published January 29, 2021 by Elizabeth Jeneault

Hi all! Liz Jeneault here, back with another 2-minute review and this here is the all-new 2021 Nissan Rogue. Redesigned from the ground up, the all-new Rogue offers boxier styling than before and the interior also now has more of a modern flair. And I want to make sure I thank Maguire Nissan of Syracuse for having me by!

Check out the new headlights here and the updated grille, the redesigned Rogue just looks more athletic and stylish than it used to.

Inside, Nissan refers to its Rogue’s interior as the “family hub.” That’s because it was designed to make all passengers feel comfortable. Parents like me will love how wide these rear doors open. They open nearly 90 degrees wide which is helpful when loading kids in the back. You also have the option of tri-zone climate control, or how about a dual panel panoramic moonroof for your family to enjoy?

An 8” touchscreen comes standard, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 9” touchscreen is available, though, as is a 12.3” digital dashboard gauge cluster and a 10.8” head-up display. You also have other options like wireless charging, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel.

As for performance, the engine now offers slightly more horsepower over the previous generation. You have a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 181 horsepower. There’s also available all-wheel drive with five different drive modes. And you can’t forget about Nissan Safety Shield 360, which comes standard on every Rogue.

Recap and rating time now of this redesigned Nissan Rogue! Exterior looks better than before, 8.5. I love the “family hub” interior and especially these extra-wide rear doors, 8. There’s just the one engine option and so performance I will rate a 7.5. Fuel economy is solid and so I’ll rate that an 8. And as for overall value, I’ll also rate that an 8!

And that results in an SUVs.com deal score of 80/100.

And I would love to know what you think about the redesigned Rogue. The Rogue is obviously Nissan’s money maker and so people say its redesign was well overdue. Let me know your thoughts!
