Hi guys! Liz Jeneault of SUVs.com here and this is a special review this week as I’m giving you a look at my very own SUV! This is the second-generation GLA, which has been fully redesigned for 2021 and so I’m going to show you all the things I love about it!
It’s a lot roomier than you’d think considering it’s the smallest SUV in the Benz’ lineup. Just look at how spacious it is and even with my daughter’s carseat in the back! I also love the power that you get from the turbocharged engine, and the vehicle rides and handles well.
My daughter loves the panorama roof and also the lights at night. The 64-color ambient lighting system adds a fun element to the GLA and I like how you can also change your digital cluster display. Love the way the headlamps and taillamps look at night, too.
Here’s another look at the SUV during the day and as you can see there are 10-spoke 19” wheels. Overall, I love the look of this vehicle. This all-new model is taller than the previous generation and so it does look even more like a traditional SUV now and it offers more headroom inside.
These front seats are so comfortable and you can adjust them lots of ways. This GLA has the entertainment package, so it has the largest screens offered and you can control it by touching it, using the touchpad controller here, or the steering wheel-mounted touch controls. I can also just talk to it to get it to do what I want! Wireless charging here, too, and there’s Burmester surround sound.
This vehicle is definitely fun to drive with its turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 221 horsepower. 4MATIC all-wheel drive is optional and I live where it snows a lot, so I do have that. I also have Blind Spot Assist and so a little triangle pops up here whenever someone passes by me. And I also do have the parking package which is cool, plus I can spy on anyone who tries to creep up on me!
I rated the GLA an 82 the last time around and if I were to give the 2021 model a rating, and I’m of course biased but, I’d have to give it a 90/100! I do love this vehicle! I feel like it’s comfortable, sassy, safe, and powerful. Thanks so much for watching and please be sure to subscribe!
