2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E - 2 Minute Review

Published February 19, 2021 by Elizabeth Jeneault

Hi guys! Liz Jeneault of SUVs.com here and I recently reviewed the Ford Bronco Sport, but this week we’re taking a look at the all-electric Ford Mustang known as the Mach-E.

And I want to make sure I thank Davidson Ford of Clay for having me by!

You have standard and extended-range options, as well as available all-wheel drive. In extended-range rear-wheel drive configurations, the Mach-E gets at least 300 miles of estimated range. This vehicle is also incredibly fast when you opt for one of the two performance versions.

You might notice the doors of the Mach-E are unique. Instead of traditional door handles, there’s this button and pull handle system. No pull handles on the rear doors, though, you just open those by reaching your hand in. I especially love the back of the Mach-E with its tri-bar taillamps.

Inside, you’ll notice the large 15.5” touchscreen that has a similar look to what you’d find inside a Tesla. You also have a 10” digital gauge cluster. The available panoramic fixed-glass roof makes an impression and it helps the electric SUV feel more open. There’s space for five inside this SUV, and the rear seats do fold down to make way for more cargo. Plus, you have the front trunk!

As I mentioned earlier, there are two performance versions of the Mach-E. Both target 480 horsepower, with the GT Performance Edition model reaching 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds!

Recap and rating time now of the Ford Mustang Mach-E! Exterior looks sporty and sleek, 8.5. Interior is clean, simple, and I love the available glass roof and large touchscreen, another 8.5. Performance is impressive, but especially with the GT models and so I’ll rate that a 9. No fuel is used in the Mach-E and the longest range offered is around 300 miles and so we’ll rate it a 9.5 for being efficient. And overall value I will rate an 8.5, as this is Ford’s first all-electric vehicle after all.

And that results in an SUVs.com deal score of 88/100.

And I want to know what you guys think about this all-electric Mustang, so be sure to leave a comment below!
