Hi guys! Liz Jeneault of SUVs.com here back with another 2-minute review and this week we’re taking a look at this Volvo X60, the first time we’ve reviewed a Volvo SUV for SUVs.com. And I want to make sure I thank Alan Beyer Volvo Syracuse!
This SUV and the rest of Volvo’s SUV lineup have been driving sales for the company. In fact, this XC60 is Volvo Cars’ top seller and there are a number of reasons for that.
Let’s start with the exterior. It looks dynamic, bold, and clean. Love the sporty wheels and the LED lighting. You also have the large panoramic roof that allows lots of light in.
Step inside with me and take a look at this ignition knob, I’m a big fan of this design. You just spin it to the right when your foot is on the brake to get the vehicle to start, and I love the way that feels! The interior is obviously quite spacious. The surfaces in here are stunning and you have the advanced technology making the interior feel more sophisticated, as well. As you can see, the touchscreen is portrait-oriented and so that gives the XC60’s technology more of a unique feel. You also have the large digital driver display.
As for performance, you have three powertrain options including a plug-in hybrid that makes 400 or 415 horsepower! All the engine options are powerful and all are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The XC60 is also a highly safe vehicle. There are a number of systems protecting you and your passengers.
Recap and rating time now of this XC60 SUV! The exterior looks clean and dynamic, I’ll rate that an 8.5. The interior is spacious and upscale with solid cargo space, too. I like the infotainment, the leather seating, and also the way you start the vehicle. 8.5 there. I do love how you have three powertrain options including a plug-in hybrid, so another 8.5 for performance. Fuel economy is pretty standard and better with the plug-in hybrid, we’ll rate that an 8.
