Hi guys! Liz Jeneault here with another 2-minute review for SUVs.com and this week we’re taking a look at the 2020 Jeep Renegade. I do love it for its fun design, love the black wheels on this model as well. And I want to make sure I thank Maguire Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Syracuse for having me by!
The exterior here has a boxy design. It might not be for everyone, but it’s fun, unique, and sporty. Love the taillights at the back here, too. This model has a great blacked-out look to it, including the black badging on the hood and the black wheels. There’s lots of variety offered with the Renegade, including two different sunroof options that allow for that iconic Jeep open-air feel.
Inside, the Renegade is surprisingly spacious. Solid headroom in here. This might be a compact SUV, but it doesn’t feel like it. I’m a fan of the seats and I also like this steering wheel. It feels athletic, but modern. Touchscreen system is solid and looks flush in the dash. You also have solid cargo space to put to good use.
You have two different engine options with the Renegade. This Latitude model here has the more powerful 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir engine. It gets 180 horsepower. You also have the 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that gets up to an EPA estimated 32 miles per gallon on the highway in front-wheel drive models. You have two available 4x4 systems and the Trailhawk gets the coveted Trail Ready badge.
Recap and rating time now of the 2020 Jeep Renegade. While the exterior might not be exactly for you, it’s fun, edgy. 7.5 there. The interior is surprisingly spacious, I like the open-air feel you can get, so an 8.5. Performance I’ll rate at an 8. This is a capable Jeep. Fuel economy solid, 8.5 there. Overall value I’ll rate at an 8.
