If you love the Kia Telluride, then you might want to also consider this three-row SUV. It’s the 2020 Hyundai Palisade and it actually shares some of the same DNA as the Telluride!

The three trims are SE, SEL, and Limited. This is an SEL with added all-wheel drive. It features standard captain’s chairs to fit seven, but you can opt for bench seating as you see here to fit eight. The Limited trim is only available with those captain’s chairs and the base SE fits eight as standard.
It’s a bold and beautiful SUV with this large chrome grille prominently featured. 20” wheels are available.
Inside, the Palisade impresses. The three rows are comfortable and feature plenty of cupholders and standard and available USB ports. With just the push of a button, you can easily fold the second row to access the third.
There’s an 8” touchscreen featured, but a larger 10.25” screen with navigation is available and comes standard on the Limited. It offers Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. There’s also an impressive 12.3” digital instrument display, a head-up display, and ambient lighting system that come standard on the range-topping Limited. Plus, many other impressive features on that trim.
You can opt for premium Nappa quilted leather in here and as for storing your stuff, there’s plenty of cargo space. There's over 86 cubic feet of it with the seats down.
This is an extremely safe SUV with standard features like lane keep assist, forward collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, driver attention warning, a rear occupant alert system, and a rearview camera with parking sensors. Upgrading to this SEL gets you blind spot assist and rear cross traffic alert. But, the Limited offers the most advanced safety features and it also gets an improved surround view monitor system.
All trims feature the same 291-horsepower, 3.8-liter V-6 engine. It’s paired to an eight speed automatic. All-wheel drive only tacks on $1,700 more. While we found the vehicle to offer a solid and sleek ride, the wind noise can be loud. This is also a larger vehicle so if you’re looking for a ton of acceleration, you might be a little disappointed. No engine upgrades available, either, as with the Telluride.
Recap time! Exterior is bold and chic, but maybe not as pleasing as the Telluride’s, 8. Interior is wonderful, 8. Engine is solid, but no upgrade available. So, an 8, too. Fuel economy is average, 7. Just as with the Telluride, I’ll rate value at a 10 as you get a lot to love about the Palisade, but not the hefty price tag.
