From the video:

I’ve been wanting to review this SUV for you for a while now because people do seem to really enjoy its design. This is the 2020 Kia Telluride and it’s the largest and boldest Kia ever, with seating for up to eight. This is also the first Kia specifically designed for the United States, so that’s important.

I’m Liz Jeneault with SUVs.com, by the way. Thank you for watching! Please hit that like button and make sure to subscribe if you enjoy these videos. Big thanks to Kia of East Syracuse, as well, for letting us come by!

The Telluride is a boxy looking SUV which people say resembles the Range Rover. It looks especially wide thanks to its wide grille here and the stacked headlamps, which I love. The elongated nameplate on the long hood here is a nice touch, too.

This is the base LX version. There’s also S, EX, and SX trims to choose from. All feature the same engine, though.

The Telluride’s interior was designed to feel more like a luxe living room than a utility vehicle. You can have captain’s chairs in the middle here instead, if you’d like. There’s an 8.0-inch touchscreen that can be upgraded to an impressive 10.25-in. screen. You can also tack on a head-up display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, as do five USB ports. Wireless charging is optional, as are dual sunroofs. The higher up you go in trim, the more of these luxe features you’ll get including a power liftgate and surround view monitor.

As for performance, all trims feature a 3.8-liter V6 that churns out 291 horsepower. It’s paired to an 8-speed automatic. There’s an independent suspension system and all-wheel drive is available. When equipped with all-wheel drive, you get two additional drive modes: snow and AWD lock.

Rating and recap time with our new rating system. I’d say exterior styling here is a 9. I like the look a lot. I know it’s borrowed, but I still enjoy it. Interior is very spacious and nice, but lacks some small storage. 8 there. As for performance, there’s nothing wrong with the 291-hp engine it has, but it is unfortunate there are not any powertrain upgrades available. 8 there. Fuel economy is EPA-rated at 19 miles per gallon city and 24 mpg highway with all-wheel drive. So a 7 in our fuel economy segment. 10 for overall value as there is a lot to love about the Telluride, which starts around $32,000 with the base front-wheel drive LX and goes up to around $44,000 with the range-topping all-wheel drive SX.

Those numbers result in an SUVs.com deal score of 84 out of 100. What do you think of the Telluride? Is this the best model to come from Kia? Leave a comment!
