The 2019 BMW X7
From The Video:
Alright, we’re all in for a treat today because we get to take a look at this gorgeous BMW X7. Liz Jeneault here at Burdick BMW, back with another 2-minute SUV review for SUVs.com and this is the xDrive50i model, the more powerful of the two X7 options. So, let’s get into it!
This huge kidney grille is the first thing you’ll notice about the exterior. These 22-inch wheels are equally large and amazing. From every angle, people say BMW just knocked it out of the park with this SUV. This xDrive50i model also has a bunch of packages tacked on and thanks to the Executive Package, it gets these cool LED Headlights with laser tech.
The leather combo used inside the X7 is just stunning. These upgraded front seats are heated, ventilated, and will also give you a massage. Take a look at this Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof, love that as part of the Executive Package. There’s just so much to highlight here like all the USB ports, heated/cooled cupholders, and the large 12.3-inch touchscreen. But, you still have the iDrive controller if you like that. Gesture controls also work here. There’s an equally large instrument cluster display and on this model, there’s a head-up display. Let’s talk about the two rows in the back. The second row is plenty roomy. You can opt for Captain’s Chairs here, but unfortunately there’s not really enough space to walk through those chairs so you’ll have to still maneuver the seats to get the third row as you would have to do with a bench. The third row is definitely roomier than the X5’s. Plenty of headroom. Cargo is honestly underwhelming with all the seats up. It does improve with that third row folded, though.
The twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 of this xDrive50i is good for 456 horsepower. The less expensive xDrive40i features a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six cylinder that produces 335 horsepower. Both are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and feature intelligent all-wheel drive. This more powerful model handles amazingly. Love the Sport mode. This is a heavy vehicle, but it’s punchy and quick around curves. It’s fun to drive and you could even tack on the M Dynamic Handling Package.
I love the gorgeous interior, the punchy engine, and the large wheels of the X7. I do wish the iDrive infotainment system was easier to figure out and that there was more space to walk through the Captain’s Chairs. Also would have liked to see more cargo space, but the three rows are roomy.
This xDrive50i model here is close to $110,000 as it starts at $92,600. The xDrive40i starts at $73,900. And if you want a third row but need a less expensive option, you could consider the X5.
I give this 2019 BMW X7 an SUVs.com deal score of 90 out of 100. If I had the money, I’d buy it! Please like, subscribe, and share.
