SUVS.com Verdict

This years QX30 offers superior exterior styling, excellent fuel economy, luxury interior filled by a 10-speaker Bose sound system, and all with a price tag less than its competitors of the same class. Along with its above-average warranty coverage and peppy engine make it a worthwhile subcompact that stands out.

You certainly wouldn’t be going wrong by choosing the QX30, but with its rivals so close on its coattails, it all depends on personal preference and the must-haves that your personal lifestyle require.

Infiniti’s QX30 most definitely has many advantages to make it a good SUV for the right people, but it’s lack of features, cramped interior, road noise and average reliability don’t make it jump ahead as a top pick for the subcompact luxury class.

Performance

The QX30\'s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine equals 208 horsepower which is more than enough for the typical driver. It gets an estimated 24/mpg in the city and 33/mpg on the highway whereas the all-wheel-drive option uses a little more fuel with a rating of 21/city 30/highway MPG.

It comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, a 7-speed automated manual transmission and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available with the Luxury trim for $1,800 or the Premium trim for $2,400.

Some report a clunky transmission which can be frustrating when in stop and go traffic. It exhibits a soft suspension with enables it to handle bumps and potholes remarkably well.

Interior

The infotainment system is less intuitive than we would prefer, but the front cabin seats offer enough support to make you feel comfy even on the longest of rides.

Space is a bit more cramped than some of its competitors, and tall people might find that they’re uncomfortably hunching when getting in and out or fully stretching. Cloth seats come standard whereas some rivals offer leatherette, and not even the drivers seat is power-adjustable which some might see as a sign to it’s quality.

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 interior comes in 5 styles. Style availability varies by trim level, but the options are: Graphite Dinamica Leatherette, Graphite Leather, Cafe Teak Leather, Wheat Leather, White Leather.

Exterior

This years Infinity offers a sporty, sleek exterior that makes this subcompact a swanky choice than can most certainly turn a few heads.

The 2017 INFINITI QX30 exterior comes in 9 color variants. Color availability varies by trim level, but the options are: Malbec Black, Ink Blue, Liquid Copper, Graphite Shadow, Chestnut Bronze, Blade Silver, Majestic White, Black Obsidian, Magnetic Red.

Safety

Safety rating have not yet been released for the QX30.

Safety features include a rearview camera that allows a clean, unobstructed view and an optional 360-degree camera that lets you see in all directions around your SUV.

Other optional safety features include blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning that will alert you if you begin to drift out of your lane, and forward collision warning with automatic braking that can sense when a collision is eminent and will apply the brakes for you.

Reliability

The QX30 received a 3 out of 5 for predicted reliability, making it comparable for its class.

It comes with an impressive 4-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty which is a much better offer than a lot of its competitors.
