707 Horsepower Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat Coming in 2017

Although it's not 100% confirmed, Jeep CEO Michael Manley says the long-speculated Hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk will most likely happen, and it will arrive in 2017. The news comes from the 2016 Detroit Auto Show where Manley stated “Not only can I put a Hellcat motor in a Grand Cherokee for you, I’m going to bring that to market by the end of 2017.” No one at Jeep has confirmed the Grand Cherokee Hellcat, it looks like Manley might have jumped the gun on the announcement. The first indication that a Grand Cherokee Hellcat might be in the works arrived when Jeep registered a trademark for the name “Trackhawk,” in late 2014. The rumors began to take on some serious weight when FCA showed a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk to a group of Jeep dealers during a meeting in Las Vegas in August 2015. So while the Trackhawk may not be “officially” confirmed, we are looking forward to a 707 horsepower, all-wheel-drive SUV with a projected zero-to-60-mph time of just 3.5 seconds! There have been rumors that the hellcat badge might come to some other jeep models as well, stay tuned for updates!
